I don't think I have the "Duraguard Surface Protector" type.........but I can't find the other type on Amazon so I will just review the regular product. This stuff works really good in my experience. I couldn't get off those crusties no matter how hard I tried with other stuff, but with this stuff I just sprayed it and let it sit for a minute then wiped it off with a damp paper towel. I admit, it works much better if you do it twice rather than once, just to make sure everything is gone. It even worked on black stuff around my bathroom sink faucets......no idea what that stuff was but it removed it awesomely. I even used it in the kitchen on my aluminum/metal/whatever it is sink and it worked and didn't ruin it at all. I s'pose it can be used to clean toilet bowls, but the manufacturers make a version in packaging that's meant for cleaning toilet bowls. The toilet cleaner version might have stronger ingredients because people are less likely to have their skin come in contact with toilet bowl cleaner.---------------- I bought the pump spray version (shown in the product image) to clean my shower. Web research said that the active ingredient is 10% glycolic acid. I wanted to solve 2 problems: the shower faucet was getting harder to turn, I believe due to mineral residue near the mechanism; and the once clear glass enclosure was getting cloudy from mineral deposits. The directions on the back of the bottle said not to use it on metallic surfaces, but the illustration on the front of the bottle showed cleaning faucets with it. We have well water, and scum builds up in the toilet very easily. I use the Lime Away regularly, and barely have to scrub the inside of the toilet. It works really efficiently. |
