It does help with keeping the TB clean, but it doesn't mean that you don't ever have to clean!But here's the problem I had: the inside sides of my bowl are angled, and so is the plastic clip they have on the sprayer. The result? Some of the chemical spays upward. The instructions just say "level the sprayer", but there is no mechanism to do that -- the sprayer has no way to adapt to different shape/angles of bowls. So, I sprayed it with the lid down. So, after about 10 days of use, when I went to deep-clean, I found that the paint was stripped off the bottom of the toilet seat and some parts of the lid. I wrote to the company to tell them about it, and I'll update here if there is a solution to the problem. In the meantime, I would say "no" to this product because you'll end up having to buy a new toilet seat/lid, as I will have to. Personally, I become ill at the thought of cleaning a toilet but I am sickened even more with the idea of it NOT being cleaned. The unit does the job I hate, from top to bottom. It sprays a jet of cleaning solution that reaches the entire bowl, even my 1980s elongated low profile toilet bowl. The bottom of the toilet seat also gets a decent spray, enough to sanitize. One needs to step on the can twice a day for one second, not during a flush as it would wash the cleaner away. The spray sits on the bowl surface, cleaning and refreshing until a flush rinses soil away. The scent is freash and not overpowering.This will not eliminate the need for a manual cleaning every so often, but it makes that chore less nauseating since the bowl doesn't have buildup. I have been trying to use it ether before going to bed or right before work so the cleaner stays in the bowl longer.This product has many good features, including the fact it is very easy to install and can be removed in a few seconds if you didn't want it to be displayed while having visitors or entertaining. The amount of cleaner that dispenses during each step is good. I really like that it's pretty much customizable - step on the pedal once quickly or hold it down as long as you like to get the desired amount of cleaning liquids you want or need. This doesn't eliminate the need to clean your toilet bowl, so if you're hoping to add this product and replace your regular cleaning, think again because I have yet to see a product that does that.
