My husband installed it and it took less than 5 minutes. We tried it on just one toilet in the house as an experiment, and 4 months later I just inserted the first refill. Now all our toilets have this contraption. This is one product which has made my life easier, and it truly lives up to it's hype. It's much safer for the tank parts than chlorine tablets, because the cleaning solution/chemicals/whatever remain in the casing, and the tank water simply passes through it on it's way into the toilet bowl with each flush. And it's far more effective than the products which clamp to the inside of the toilet bowl rim. This really, really works. Give it a try! And there is an beneficial social side-effect that is even more important than the advantages to the individual owner: It can greatly reduce water consumption, since toilets needn't be flushed after doing "number 1". (This is because the product's cleaning agent immediately bleaches and deodorizes it.) For a while I had the problem reported by the one-star reviewer below: The product didn't work at all with the replacement cartridges I bought. I contacted the manufacturer, Puricle, and was told that some buyers had reported this problem and that the cartridges had been reformulated. I returned the ineffective batch I'd bought for an exchange, and the new, reformulated cartridges are working perfectly. I was skeptical at first. Really, an "automatic" toilet cleaner for this cheap and does it really work? However, I absolutely despised and dreaded cleaning my toilet rings every other day. I would get moody just thinking about cleaning the toilets. Believe me, I tried every single product out there. Tablets, liquids, scrubs, etc. Nothing worked until I was referred to this product by 2 of my friends. They raved about it and I purchased it online. I think there is another one but they told me to get THE ORIGINAL NEVERSCRUB! in the orange box because the other one does not work at all (it's like a knock off version). You must get the original. So I bought this online and shipping was fast. Installation was very easy and quick to the inside of the toilet tank. I didn't use any tools.
